just be time change

After lots and lots of discussion about where and when just be should be meeting, we think we might have cracked it!

For the next few months we will continue meeting at the Raynes Park Tavern, but at the slightly later time of 7:30pm every Monday night.

If people don't want to eat at the Tavern, and bunch of us will be sampling the culinary delights of the Edward Rayne beforehand and heading over for the 7:30 start.

Yep that's right - we even have a rota!

For the last few months the be church community has been discussing and exploring how best to develop as a community in our relationship with each other, God and our wider community.

For the next couple of months we will be experimenting on how best to gather as a community. For Oct-Nov we will be meeting every Sunday eve at 7pm in various venues working through the theme of waiting.

29th Nov be community: Celebrating anticipation @ the Frosts

So with a full and fun packed couple of months ahead - we would love you to come and join in!

Monday 7th

Just Be reflects on Brian McLaren's Secret Message of Jesus and we'll be dishing out our new book, A Tale of Three Kings (and no its not based on the film with George Clooney).

 

Sunday 13th

As Summer finishes and Autumn begins we take a look at seasons of the church - Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, Penecost - and ask, are they useful? What do they mean? Why do they exist? Who invented them? Is there any point? With a few minutes looking into these questions we respond with infromal sung worship and prayer, led by Dan Hoyes.

 

Wednesday 16th

The final good bye to summer with a Be Fed at Dan Hoyes' house.

 

Thursday 24th

We'll be having a Be Taught at Tom and Jane's (TBC) new pad in Colliers Wood. Mark Williamson will be are guest speaker giving us a complete overview of the Bible in about 60mins.

BEN SPARKS IN THE TAVS

Ben hails from Bournemouth and he will be blitzing the Tavern with a concoction of tunes and covers... he has a voice like an (very masculine) angel and plays the guitar like a rock legend. So come and join us for a sing along and bring your friends, your colleagues and your gran.

 

Thursday's BBQ will be delayed for a couple of weeks but Dan will be hosting it. The finalised date will be online soon...
